We love creating Chicago wedding photos for our couples. Lauren and Steven were such a pleasure to work with. From the moment we met, we could see how much they complement each other. They bring each other so much joy and happiness. It’s so nice to see that in couples!
The Morning
They started their day getting ready at the beautiful Hotel Zachary. This hotel is located right in front of the Wrigley Field on the Northside of Chicago. The hotel is named after the architect of the Wrigley Field himself, Zachary Taylor Davis. It has incredible floor to ceiling windows overlooking Chicago and Wrigley field. Which provided a great amount of light for us to take some amazing shots before all the wedding day festivities. What a wonderful way for this couple to start their day!
Heirloom Photography
Lauren and Steven wanted to have some precious heirlooms photographed. These were given to them by their grandparents in honor of their wedding day. Steven wore a gold pocket watch that belonged to his grandfather. A beautiful and timeless piece that went well his blue tailored suit. Lauren had something borrowed and old. A gold bracelet and a handkerchief. Both belonged to her grandmother and was the perfect accent to her dress. We understand how important these heirlooms are and wedding days are the perfect times to photograph these special items.
The Ceremony & Party
Lauren’s father officiated their wedding in front of a small group of close friends and family on the outdoor patio of Smoke Daddy BBQ. It’s is connected to Hotel Zachary and overlooks the busy streets of Chicago’s north side. The food is absolutely amazing!
They ended their day by eating “The Daddy’s” amazing barbecue and consuming drinks. There were a few very lovely speeches about the love this couples shares with each other, and lots of laughter. We are so excited to give them some amazing Chicago wedding photos. It was a privilege do photograph this wedding. We hope you enjoy viewing these photos as much as we did taking them!
